Dr. Siauw Tiong Djin talks about G30S (Gerakan 30 September) or the Thirtieth of September Movement, abbreviated as G30S/1965 in Indonesia. In this interview, Djin Siauw talks about Syam Kamaruzzaman, an important figure and controversial in the September Movement and PKI (Partai Komunis Indonesia – Indonesian Communist Party). He writes ‘Siauw Giok Tjan Dalam Pembangunan Nation Indonesia’ & ”Renungan Seorang Patriot Indonesia (Editor) Siauw Tiong Djin is a Chinese-Indonesian writer and entrepreneur. He is the son of the Chinese-Indonesian fighter Siauw Giok Tjhan (the founder of BAPERKI) and is best known for writing a book entitled ” ”Siauw Giok Tjhan – Bicultural Leader in Emerging Indonesia”. The work is based on his doctoral dissertation completed in 1999 at Monash University. Siauw Djin now lives in Melbourne and is Chair of the Herb Feith Foundation at Monash University
